What’s more annoying than reading copy you’ve already read?

Advertising campaigns that include spelling mistakes and bizarre capitalization. Going out in your name.

That’s the reality for Tottenham Hotspur Football Club this week who’ve released a campaign on the London Underground that includes two different incorrect spellings of the word “premium”.  As well as randomly capitalizing the words “Sports” and “Entertainment”.

We’re sometimes all in a rush to get the work done and out the door. We all assume someone’s read the copy, checked it already. Or, if they haven’t, that they will.

We can’t rely on others to spot mistakes. So – no matter where you are in the chain – call it out.

Then again, the spelling mistakes made national news so maybe it was actually a work of marketing genius?
